HireRight is pleased to be hosting the launch of this year’s CIFAS Staff Fraudscape report on Thursday 4th April, 8.30-10.30am, at The Hub – Westminster in London.
Compiled from information shared by CIFAS members in the Staff Fraud Database, the Staff Fraudscape report gives a clear picture of the fraud landscape in the UK.
The event is free to attend and, as well as providing a fascinating insight into staff fraud trends, there will be a number of short presentations focused on other highly topical staff fraud related issues. This will also be a fantastic networking opportunity for senior fraud professionals and journalists.
Presentations include:
– Fraudscape Analysis and Highlights: Arjun Medhi, Staff Fraud Operations Manager at CIFAS – The UK’s Fraud Prevention Service, will provide delegates with an up-to-date insight into the trends emerging through analysis of the data held on the Staff Fraud Database.
– The Insider Threat – Genuine or Scaremongering?: Rob Brooker, Fraud Manager at Transport for London, will present an overview of the impact of staff fraud, including some interesting case studies.
– The True Cost of Staff Fraud: Professor Mark Button, Director of the Centre for Counter Fraud Studies at the University of Portsmouth recently undertook a study (commissioned by CIFAS) to uncover the true impact of Staff Fraud on organisations in the UK. Mark will present a brief overview of the study as a preview to the full report being released in May.
– Vetting Solutions – Screening trends and challenges for an internationally mobile workforce: Dan Shoemaker, Senior Managing Director, HireRight, will highlight best practice available to organisations through effective staff vetting.
